Our verdict
The SoloCam S340 makes a reasonable case for itself: solar charging, wire-free install, 3K resolution, and onboard 8GB storage mean you're not beholden to the cloud or an electrician. The 360° pan-and-tilt setup is genuinely useful for covering a wide property from a single mount point. That said, anyone wanting redundant cloud backup, or who lives somewhere with limited sun exposure, should think carefully before committing — solar reliability depends heavily on your site conditions, and local-only storage has its own tradeoffs.
Best for: Homeowners who want whole-yard coverage from one camera without a recurring subscription
