Frequently asked questions

The short version: we find the things, Amazon sells the things. Everything else below.

What is things.com?

A product-discovery site. We find things worth buying — trending, useful, giftable — and point you to them on Amazon. Real people review every pick before it’s published.

Is things.com a store?

No. We recommend products; Amazon sells them. We never process payments or see your card details.

Where do I complete my purchase?

On Amazon. Product buttons and the basket hand you off to Amazon, where you check out with your own Amazon account as usual.

Does things.com see my payment information?

Never. The entire transaction happens on Amazon.

Who ships the products?

Amazon (or the Amazon seller). Delivery speeds and options match whatever Amazon offers you at checkout.

Who handles returns?

Amazon, under their standard return policy. We can’t accept returns because we never sold you the item.

Does things.com earn commissions?

Yes. As an Amazon Associate, things.com earns from qualifying purchases. If you buy through one of our links, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

Do brands pay to be featured?

No. There are no paid placements or sponsored picks, and submitting a product does not guarantee coverage.

How are products selected?

Discovery tools surface candidates from trending lists and community recommendations; a human editor evaluates each one and decides. Our editorial standards page explains the details, including labels showing how each pick was evaluated.

How often is the site updated?

New products are added regularly and marked with the week they arrived. Prices and availability are re-checked automatically throughout the day.

Why did a price change or disappear?

Amazon prices move constantly. We only display a price we’ve verified within the last 24 hours — otherwise we show “current price on Amazon” and let Amazon speak for itself.

Why is a product unavailable?

If Amazon stops stocking something, we automatically pull it from the site rather than send you to a dead listing.

What happens to items in my shopping cart?

Your shopping cart lives in your browser on your device — we don’t require an account and don’t see what’s in it. Clearing your browser data clears the cart.

How can I suggest a product?

Use the contact page and pick “General.” We read everything; submitting a product does not guarantee coverage.

How can I report incorrect information?

Contact page, topic “Correction.” Substantive fixes are noted per our corrections policy.
